FAQs
What is CourtReserve?
CourtReserve is a versatile court management platform designed for sports facilities, clubs, and
organizations. It streamlines scheduling, reservations, memberships, and payments, offering
tools for event management, communication, and reporting. Suffield Pickleball fully utilizes court
reserve and its features.
How can I access Suffield Pickleball through CourtReserve?
Our CourtReserve members portal can be accessed through our website links for memberships,
events, and reservations. We encourage all members and prospective players to download the
app for Apple or Android.
Do I have to be a paid member to play at SP?
No, paid membership is not required. While paid memberships receive some discounted pricing,
everyone is welcome to play! A Free Membership is required to use the CourtReserve software
for booking and managing your player account.
Are there discounts for family memberships?
Currently, we are not offering any discounts on family membership fees. All our memberships
are individual and correspond to a single player for use of our facility. Individual memberships
will be billed separately based on yearly or monthly subscription. We hope to incorporate family
memberships discounts in the future as our community of players grows!
Are there any Military or Senior discounts?
Currently, we do not provide discounted memberships or play options for military personnel,
past or present, or for seniors. That said, we may consider offering special incentives for these
groups in the future.
How do I pay for the Premier or Pro Memberships?
The Premier and Pro memberships can be paid either annually, which is non-refundable, or
monthly, with the option to cancel at any time. Any current registered user can upgrade from the
Free membership to either the Pro or Pioneer membership at any time using the CourtReserve
app or members portal. To upgrade from a Pro membership to a Premier membership, please
contact a Suffield Pickleball representative by calling, visiting our facility, or reaching out to
sales@suffieldpickleball.com
What’s the benefit of paying annually instead of monthly?
You can save money in the long term by choosing the annual payment option instead of monthly
payments.
What am I able to book in advance as a Suffield Pickleball Member?
Booking in advance refers to court rentals and various scheduled events including Open Play.
The ability to book in advance for clinics, leagues, and tournaments will depend on the specific
event in question.
How much is a court rental for non-members?
A standard court rental costs $50 per hour. This cost will be split amongst the players renting
the court. If 4 players wish to rent a court, they would each pay $12.50 per hour.
What if I want to rent a single court with more than 4 people?
“Group Doubles” reservations are also available for 5-6 players on a single court. The Group
Doubles court cost is $60 per hour and can be purchased by the reservation owner or split
between the playing members or guests. For example, a Group Doubles reservation for 6
players would be $10 per hour for each person.
Does my membership discount apply to my guests?
No, membership discounts are exclusively for members. All guests or registered players with
the “Free Membership” will pay the standard fees.
How much is Open Play for Non-Members?
Open Play is $20 for guests or registered players with the “Free Membership”.
What is considered “Open Play”?
Pickleball open play is a format of the game where players of various skill levels come together
to play without a formal tournament structure. During open play, participants will rotate in and
out of games, allowing for a mix of opponents and partners. There will be several blocks of open
play available daily in a variety of formats.
How long are open play sessions?
Open play sessions are from 1 ½ -2 hours depending on the format.
Free Open play sessions are listed under the Premier and Pro tiers — what event
categories within CourtReserve do those include?
With a Pro or Pioneer membership you will receive 4 or 8 free open play sessions respectively.
These can be used for the following event categories within CourtReserve:
General Open Play, Round Robin, Ladders, Beginner Open Play, Intermediate Open Play,
Advanced Open Play, DUPR Open Play. All other event categories may carry an additional
drop-in price which will be listed during registration.
What happens if there are not enough players for an open play event?
We intend to have multiple open play sessions at different levels of play, each court is going to
have a 6-player maximum availability. However, if there are multiple courts/levels booked with 3
players each, those courts will be combined to offer competitive rotational play. If there are not
enough players signed up for an open play session, members and non-members can still take
full advantage of the allotted open play duration with available courts for their use. This may
include the use of our ball machine for a practice session. If requested a refund of the event
drop-in price can be credited back to the player account for future use.
How much do clinics cost?
Clinic costs will vary. Our Intro to Pickleball Level 1 and Level 2 clinics which run for 6 weeks
are $150. With any paid membership tier, these clinics cost $135
How much do the leagues cost?
League cost will vary depending on duration and overall format. League information can be
found on our website. An example of this is our Winter Sessions (Intermediate or Advanced).
They are $160 ($144 with any paid membership tier) and run for 7 Weeks.
