FAQs

Do I have to be a member to play at SP?

No, membership is not required. While members receive discounted pricing, everyone is welcome to play!

Are there discounts for family memberships?

At this time we are not offering any discounts for family membership fees. All of our memberships are individual and correspond to a single player for use of our facility. Individual memberships will be billed separately based on yearly or monthly subscription. We hope to incorporate family memberships in the future as our community of players grows!

Do I have to pay for a year up front for the Pioneer Membership?

The Pioneer Membership requires full payment upfront. Your membership will automatically renew after one year unless you cancel it beforehand. By renewing after one year, you will retain the current price and benefits associated with the Pioneer Membership. Please note that this membership is non-refundable if you choose to cancel before the end of the one-year term.

How long will the Pioneer Membership be available to purchase?

The Pioneer Membership will only be available until Suffield Pickleball opens in January 2025. After that, the memberships available are the Premier and Pro.

How do I pay for the Premier or Pro Memberships?

The Premier and Pro Memberships can be paid either annually, which is non-refundable, or monthly, with the option to cancel at any time.

Why would I pay annually if I am able to pay monthly?

You can save significantly by choosing the annual payment option instead of monthly payments.

What am I able to book in advance as a Suffield Pickleball Member?

Booking in advance refers to court rentals and open play.

How much is a court rental for non-members?

A standard court rental costs $50 per hour. This cost will be split by the players renting the court. If 1 player wants to rent a full court for example, that would cost $50 for the hour. If 4 players want to rent a court they would each pay $12.50 per hour.

Does my membership discount apply to my guests?

No, membership discounts are exclusively for members. All non-members will pay the standard fee.

How much is Open Play for Non-Members?

Open Play is $20 for non-members.

What is considered “Open Play”?

Pickleball open play is a casual format of the game where players of various skill levels come together to play without a formal tournament structure. During open play, participants will rotate in and out of games, allowing for a mix of opponents and partners. There will be several blocks of open play available daily in a variety of formats.

How long are open play sessions?

Open play sessions are from 1 ½ -2 hours depending on the format.

What happens if there are not enough people for open play?

We intend to have multiple open play sessions at different levels of play, each court is going to have a 6 player maximum availability. However, if there are multiple courts/levels booked with 3 players each, those courts will be combined to offer competitive rotational play. If there are not enough players signed up for an open play session, members and non-members can still take full advantage of the allotted open play duration with available courts for their use.
